Where to begin? I don't actually know.
Well, the good news is that I managed to lose 6.5lbs, 2 inches from my waist and 2 inches from my hips - apparently - I haven't yet weighed myself or got the tape measure out, part of me feels that it is all a fix and that I spent £800 on an illusion.

So, from the beginning I guess? But probably in bite sized chunks or you'll all be snoring far too quickly.

Day 1 (Friday 9th May)
The travel down to Devon was hectic but I arrived at Tiverton Parkway just after 4pm. Cautiously approached some other ladies after hearing someone say 'fitfarms?' and after a short wait our minibus arrived.

We pulled up 30 minutes later and were asked to stand in a line, and then shown to our rooms. I was sharing with two other girls who had already arrived and bagged beds. They were making polite conversation so I just introduced myself and listened in. My roomies were (in my mind) both slim but they obviously didn't feel that way. It really takes all sorts I guess.

Now, fitfarms is a fairly extreme approach - 6 hours of exercise and 1700 calories a day for 6 and a half days but it was to be the kickstart and eyeopener that I needed. We sat about our rooms for a while, before going down to the exercise barn for our introduction. We met our trainers Sian and Julie and were given a brief intro. Then crazy games followed. First we obviously introduced ourselves, then we played different icebreakers, including team games which I haven't played since school! It was interesting to see how competitive we all were and we quickly started talking to each other.

Then we had dinner. The first meal was salmon (which I didn't think I liked), but I felt as though I could've eaten a horse! I'd been good on the train, not bought any junk food at all. The salmon was delicious and I'm gonna try it again soon, but with that we had quinoa which I'd never tried (yuk) and lots of overcooked veggies. So hungry I cleaned my plate anyway. Sitting round a huge dining table (there were 33 of us in total) was the perfect time to start introducing ourselves to other people.

On Day 2 (saturday) we were due to do a 3 mile walk/jog which made me very nervous, but I was determined to try my best. They had times up for how long it should take. I took a few photos of the lake and scenery beyond the barns:

Then I rang home, to be reprimanded for ringing whilst hubby was watching NCIS! I had already lost track of time. Wake up was at 6am the next day so we all (in our room at least) hit the sack just after 10pm.
