Eureka!
She cried! I finally have the solution, a simple way to stop the ice caps melting, the seas from rising and the world from dying.
Well, lately as I have wandered around and about on my travels I have noticed that many people have a strange peccadillo (is that the word I mean?) whereby, when starting a car journey they first get into the car, start the engine and then spend 10 minutes doing in car flight checks. Then they do the same the other end.
Well, you know I am not a driver, so perhaps this is perfectly neccessary? Examples, you ask? I have plenty:
1) searching through a bag for makeup
2) applying said makeup (whatever happened to the bathroom?)
3) going back indoors to get a cup of coffee
4) shouting at your pets to 'move out the way' as they block your drive.
5) chatting to your friend on your mobile
6) chatting to your friend sitting next to you
Now, I can well appreciate you may need the warmth of your engine/heater and you may have stopped to use your phone rather than break the law, and if so fair play to you, but the number of people I see doing any of the above, with the engine running every day?
Surely, they can have that all important coffee/smoke/chat in the house or in the street or even in the car without turning on the engine?
Surely these things can be done before starting the engine and spilling out horrid fumes?
But then again, perhaps that's just me being old fashioned?
